please respond to alice@edgesys.com Urgent position:   Location: Phoenix, AZ Rate: DOE Duration: 6-9 months VMWare View Systems Administrator Contractor Responsibilities   The VMWare View/VDI Administrator will report to the Application Certification & Client Computing Manager and will complete the following tasks:   • Perform day-to-day operational tasks to ensure that the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is working appropriately and highly available to the customer base, and that any issues are being proactively resolved.   • Act as third level support within the incident management process for the VDI platform.   • Perform routine capacity planning and demand management for the VDI Platform.   • Perform all configuration management processes needed to stay compliant with PCI, security, and client guidelines.   • Ability to communicate capacity, demand, and other requirements as well as technical issues to cross functional groups and business customers.   • Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges   • Ability to partner with multiple technology disciplines to assess, troubleshoot and resolve performance and availability issues with VMWare View.   • Participate in afterhours on-call rotation to provide support for VMWare View   • Serve on project teams to enhance, deliver, or streamline VMWare View services.   • Experience working in environments requiring PCI security compliance   Skills Required   • 2yrs of technical experience on both traditional and virtual desktops (Windows 2000, Windows XP and 7).   • 2yrs of experience with a 200 to 40,000 desktop end point environment,.   • 1yr of experience performing business as usual tasks on a VMWare Virtual Desktop infrastructure support 500+ users.   • 2yrs of experience with VMWare Sphere, VMWare View 4.x   • 1yr Desktop imaging and VDI pool creation in a VMware View environment   • 2yrs supporting Active Directory Group Policy to secure and restrict end point physical and virtual desktops   • 2yrs experience supporting desktops in a Cisco based, multi segmented, routed and firewalled enterprise network using TCP/IP v4   • Strong written and verbal communications   Other Desired Skills   • Cisco UCS Blade server infrastructure supporting a VMWare 4.x environment   • VMWare vSphere 5.x experience   • VMWare View 5.x experience and/or upgrades from 4.x to 5.x   • Experience supporting Windows 2000, 2003, and 2008 R2   • Windows scripting: PowerShell, VBscript, WSH   • Desktop management application and operating systems management using LANdesk   Understanding of storage (SAN) configuration, maintenance and support in a VMWare View architecture   Please provide me following details:   Full Name: Email Id: Contact: Current Location: Relocation: Availability: Visa Status: F2F: Expected Rate/Salary: Gender:    Project: Name: Designation: Email Id: Contact: ...(More..)
