ABAP DEVELOPER (MUST READ) As an ABAP developer you would join a team of 3 other developers. The position is open due to growth. The company has been growing tremendously. Only 40% of all company transactions run through SAP. The other 60% runs through all the acquisition companies they have bought the past 5 years, that run other ERP systems. All these acquired companies need brought onto the SAP system. As a developer at this company, you are a true development professional. You will perform full life cycle development and be treated as a business professional performing user interface/requirements gathering (25%), as well as design, code, test and move into production (75%) They try to run as much standard SAP without too much customization. They do a lot of Output Forms for customers and government reporting. They also utilize user exits a lot. Tons of work with SAP Data Services for conversions, and have a lot of conversion work coming up. Developers on average will spend their time on: 10% Support desk tickets 20% Maintenance projects (4-8 hour issues) 70% New Projects/New Development You would work in all business areas. (FICO, SD, MM, PP, CRM) They have started using some Object Oriented ABAP and really like it. It will be a key development language for them moving forward. If you have .NET or C# aspirations there are opportunities to learn and do projects in those web based technologies as well.
