Position : Unix Admin Location : Louisville, KY Duration : 12 Months Interview : Phone Requirements : his position is responsible for supporting Unix server environment and internal development efforts. Duties include designing, planning, and implementing new technology and hardware/OS refreshing the Unix environment. The Unix systems administration team is responsible for working closely with business lines, and our customer's technical resources, to provide support for the secure delivery of our products. The Unix systems administrator will work closely with corporate security department to maintain PCI DSS compliance.
Duties and Responsibiites:
Installs, configures, and maintains Unix operating systems
Analyzes and resolves problems associated with operating systems, hardware, and software
Familiar with standard concepts practices, and procedures within a particular field
Works independently with minimal supervision
24x7 support of ARC's Unix environment (rotating on-call duty)
Manage small to medium size projects (internal and business wide)
Participates in annual Disaster Recovery testing
Requirements
2-5 yrs experience
Solaris 10/11, Sparc and x86 Required
DNS administration (not needed)
Security administration (JASS Toolkit, jumpstart, intrusion detection, auditing, authentication) Required
Solaris 10 zone/container administration Required
Solaris 11 VM Server Preferred
ZFS administration Preferred
Nimsoft monitoring/management software Preferred
Oracle Ops Center Preferred
Centrify Enterprise Suite Preferred
Redhat Linux Preferred
ALL of these are preferred
Vormetric Encryption software
GPG (GnuPG) file encryption
