Unix Shell *   and 3+ Yrs.       Wireless Network Engineer lll in Fort Worth TX  Client—AmericanAirlines Location—Fort Worth TX 76155 Rate—$45 hourly Duration of Contract—6+ months The Wireless Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that industry best practices and methodologies are applied to a network involving wireless network services. The engineer will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and management of the wireless Wi-Fi infrastructure. Other duties include installation for break/fix as needed, monitoring, support, trending and reporting. This Engineer will also analyze and provide recommendations in the resolution of wireless network problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The Wireless Network Engineer will be primarily involved with Wi-Fi issues and reporting, and secondarily work with other networking functions such as LAN/WAN and VOICE related operational issues.  TECHNOLOGIES:  • Wireless Access Points  • Wireless Client Association  • Wireless Controllers  • CSMA/CA, RTS, CTS protocols  • RF transmission  • IEEE 802.11 standards  • Wireless Sniffers  • WLSM, WiSM, WCS  • Ether channel  REQUIRED SKILLS:  • Must have 3 – 5 years of solid Wireless experience  • Cisco Wireless experience preferred  • Cisco Wireless Controller and Access Point experience  • Campus network experience  • RF Assessments and operational triage required  • Indoor & Outdoor Wireless troubleshooting  • Familiarity in Wireless technology like LWAP, EAP and hands on experience on Cisco wireless controller  • Process oriented, good understanding of Change control and ticketing system.
