Job Title: Windows Network Engineer

Location :- Boston, MA

Duration :- 12 months.

 

 

 

    Minimum Requirements:

- Experience with Active Directory
- Experience with DNS/DHCP
- Experience with Group Policy
- Experience with Windows 2003 Server
- Experience with Windows 2008 Server
- Experience with the following hardware (HP Proliant servers – blades and traditional server)
- Experience with VMWare ESX
- Experience with Citrix 
- Working knowledge of Symantec Netbackup
- Working knowledge of EMC Networker
- Working knowledge of networking (TCP/IP)
- Working knowledge of IIS

 

 

The right candidate can determine network requirements for designing and developing hardware, software and telecommunications solutions to provide required network infrastructure and services. Plans, designs, develops, debugs and implements network hardware, software and system solutions across multiple platforms and architectures to support the organization's IT requirements. Provides expert level problem resolution, review and troubleshooting of the installation of hardware and implementation of layered software solutions and products, Ensures that the network solution meets the company or customer/client requirements. Assesses bandwidth requirements to ensure network capacity and processing speed. May act as project leader for major products/projects.  This position also provides senior level operational support for multiple Microsoft Windows based systems environments. This position is responsible for all aspects of systems administration operations including daily monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, problem resolution, updates, and performance tuning. In addition, responsible for ensuring reliable interfaces between active directory and all supported services/servers such as DHCP, SMS, QIP DNS, Anti- Virus, workstation login, shared directory services/file servers, remote access/VPN, MS SQL. Must have experience with Citrix, VMWare ESXi and EMC Clarion SAN.


Regular operational duties include the following:
Daily Monitoring and Reporting for the Windows platform environment. Apply standard troubleshooting methodologies to isolate root cause and determine impact and risk. Utilize knowledge bases and other available resources to propose appropriate and complete solutions. Troubleshoot all active directory issues including user, server, and enterprise issues. 
-          Daily monitoring of SAN
-          Allocate LUN and RAID groups as needed
-          Monitoring of SANs and nodes (servers) connectivity for performance and efficiency
-          Performance tuning of SAN and nodes
-          Ensure data protection on SAN  

 

 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 
-          Creating AD accounts
-          Provide level 3 support 
-          Monitor and manage backups
-          Review, recommend, and resolve any network administration issues
-          Manage Enterprise AD environment
-          Fine tune servers to ensure industry best practices and procedures
-    Install and configure server and hardware as needed
-    P2V servers
-    Manage VMWare ESXi farm which includes adding new host to cluster, patching, and monitoring
-          Standardize server configuration
-          Documentation 
  
We are looking for someone with a go getter attitude and have working knowledge and experience with Network Administration, EMC SAN, and Citrix.
