Location: Bournemouth, Dorset  Salary: £28000 - £32000 per annum  Company: Eligo Recruitment Ltd  Job Type: Permanent  Date posted: 10/05/2014 19:17  Job Description: Working as a member of an existing application development team, this role is responsible for the design and development of new bespoke software and maintenance of existing bespoke software for an industry leading, award winning Accounting software application.The developer will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of technologies, including C#, VB.NET, Team Foundation Server and Microsoft SQL Server. Key responsibilities include; the development of software application modules using disciplined software development processes and the creation and maintenance of high quality software design in accordance with internal and industry standards. This person will adhere to internal coding standards and software development life-cycle (SDLC) process standards and will be accountable for the quality of their own work which will be delivered within agreed procedures and time frames. The developer will participate in project planning sessions with other team members to analyse development requirements and also in reviews of their own work and in reviews of the work of colleagues.  The right candidates will be educated to Degree level or have good qualifications in a software engineering discipline. They will demonstrate success and experience in, working in a commercial environment to deliver software solutions, working in a highly customer-focused team, applying software engineering and best practice to improve development efficiency and quality and programming architecture and frameworks.  Essential skills include either VB.Net or C#4.0 and SQL Server 2005 - 2012 (TSQL).
