Data/Information Architect ( Interface Analyst/ Lead)
Agency: Department of Health and Human Services
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Columbia SC

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

The State seeks a skilled technical professional with relevant experience on similar projects that can both complete the interface management tasks required for this project while also providing recommendations for interface architectures, security, communication protocols, interface contracts, data quality and interface best practices based on their experiences and expertise.
The Interface Lead will be focused on planning, documenting, converting and migrating interfaces as part of the overall Medicaid replacement projects. The Interface Lead will carry out the activities necessary to achieve the projects’ strategic goals and objectives and work closely with trading partners, third party vendors, project architects, project leadership and technical staff
The Interface Lead will create the Interface conversion plan. They may also assist with migration of ‘as-is’ interfaces and external trading partners to the new MMIS system and selected data administration tasks.


REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
· Significant experience with interface activities
· Self-starter that takes initiative
·
Demonstrated success in developing, documenting and managing interface standards
Excellent communication, organization, prioritization and delegation skills
· Experience working with multiple communication protocols including FTP, Sockets, Web Services, REST, SOAP, NDM and others.
· Ability to develop, propose and present solutions/approaches to Interface activities, especially in light of a variety of possible approaches
· Good written and oral communications skills, including the ability to give presentations to the management team. Strong proficiency in English is required.
· Willingness and ability to effectively engage with people and organizations on a continuous basis
