Needed Virtualization Engineer/ VMWare

Role: Virtualization Engineer/ VMWare Location: NY Duration: 1040 hours SCOPE OF SERVICES: The Virtualization Engineer will perform administration duties required to maintain the virtualized computing environment using tools to include vCenter, vSphere, and Lab Manager; provide expertise in the design and maintenance required to ensure the high availability of the virtualized computing environment; provide technical expertise and perform tasks for all related infrastructure projects, including business continuity; enforce, manage and create policies and procedures; provide services for the virtualized computing environment; and architecting and implementing solutions in a multi-tenant environment. The Virtualization Engineer must have experience designing a large scale virtualization effort; the ability to solution across multiple vendor platforms; an understanding of Cloud Solutions and Data Center Consolidation Solutions; experience in delivering IT enterprise strategy and strategic analysis of current client infrastructures; and familiarity with networking and storage concepts. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE ·         Minimum 4 years of experience and working knowledge of VMware virtualization systems VI3 & vSphere, management systems and tools. ·         Experience working on the CITIServ project ·         Minimum 4 years of experience maintaining enterprise class virtualization infrastructure including strong experience with Windows systems and infrastructure and Linux systems as are required. ·         Minimum 4 years of experience and working knowledge of SAN infrastructure, protocols and enterprise class storage systems and storage related concepts as it relates to building and supporting an enterprise class virtual infrastructure. ·         Minimum 4 years of experience and working knowledge of enterprise networking systems, protocols and security related concepts as it relates to building and supporting an enterprise class virtual infrastructure. ·         Minimum 4 years of experience in delivering IT enterprise strategy and strategic analysis of current client infrastructures; ·         Extensive experience administering and supporting large complex virtual infrastructure. ·         Ability to cross train and share knowledge. ·         Strong project management and task execution skills. ·         Excellent analytical, oral and written communications. ·         Ability to solution across multiple vendor platforms Familiarity with networking and storage concepts. ...(More..)
