Business Analyst with Healthcare Insurance Industry and Medicaid/Medicare

Title: Business Analyst with Healthcare Insurance Industry and Medicaid/Medicare Location: NY, Buffalo Duration: 9Months Job Description: Sr. Business Analyst responsible for working as a liaison between the IT depart ment and internal business units. Responsible for meeting with the business unit s to elicit and document business requirements to be used to solve business issu es with technology solutions. Responsible for documenting these requirements u sing various tools such as business requirements document (BRD), use case docume nt, user story, and other formalized techniques. Will interface with senior lev els of business users and be expected to maintain excellent customer satisfacti on. Must possess an in depth knowledge of the SDLC process, project management skills, business requirements elicitation concepts and methodologies. Will work with IT project teams throughout project lifecycle. Experience working with in health insurance industry required; will be working on Medicare related processing (knowledge and expertise with Regulatory background and/or Medic are enrollment and billing is highly preferred). Qualifications Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Visio Highly organized Experience working as a Business Analyst on multiple projects simultaneousl y Four year college degree or minimum 7 years business experience with progressively increased responsibility. Minimum five years of prior detaile d business requirements elicitation experience required; Prior experience wor king with/in an IT department providing programming and/or analysis services. Exposure to full cycle software development project lifecycle and/or projec t management methodologies and disciplines. Articulate; demonstrated meeting facilitation skills and high propensity to detail and follow up. Proven wri tten and verbal communication skills as well as excellent customer service skill s.
