Business Architect - Energy/Utilities - to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits 

A market leading organisation requires a talented and experienced Business Architect to take a leading role in ensuring the overall integrity of the processes and systems used to deliver services within the utilities industry. As Business Architect, you will provide a view on strategic needs, business capabilities, business processes and key business information, to support objective and structured decision-making for investment in business and technology. You will support the Executive and Senior Managers in clarifying the implications of the organisations business direction and strategy, in terms of the business capabilities and processes required to meet current and future needs. 

Define target business architecture, capturing how its operating model and business processes need to change in response to changing industry requirements. Review and assure the deliverables of business change projects against the target business architecture. 

Skills and experience required; 
*Experience of business change programmes, and of the use of information systems and technology to enable change. 
*Strong business modelling and analysis experience, and ability to develop business architecture deliverables capturing aspects of the business such as strategy and goals, business operating model, processes, organisation and services. 
*Ability to support the Solution Architect in mapping how the business architecture is supported by applications, data and technology. 
*Ability to apply a variety of techniques to clarify needs and evaluate business options. 
*Ability to communicate ideas at a conceptual level, but also drill down into detail when appropriate. 
*Stakeholder management skills, including the ability to understand their perspective, and present concepts and issues in non-technical language and at the appropriate level of detail for the audience. Comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including board/director level. 
*Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in communication, facilitation and influencing. 
*Ability to share experience and expertise with colleagues in a supportive manner, including mentoring/coaching when required. 
*Ability to plan and deliver own work, and to lead the work of a small project team when required. 
*Experience of reviewing and assuring the work of external service providers on business change and information systems projects.
